Terms and Conditions
- You must be between the ages of 13 and 18 years old and attending high school to enter the competition.
- You may model the garment yourself or invite a model to walk for you.
- Models must also be aged between 13 and 18 years.
- Models cannot also be a designer in the Walk the Line Show.
- Entry is limited to one design per student.
- Entries close 5pm Friday 4 July 2024.
- The top 80 designs will be selected to enter the show from all the entries received.
- If selected, an entry fee will apply.
- This fee will be collected at the Dress Rehearsal, cash or eftpos options available.
Fee package options:
- Package A: $40 includes entry fee to Walk the Line Design Competition
- Package B: $60 includes entry fee to Walk the Line Design Competition + x1 ticket to Walk the Line show at NZFW
- Package C: $80 includes entry fee to Walk the Line Design Competition + x1 ticket to Walk the Line show at NZFW + digital copies of all Walk the Line Show Runway photographs.
Event tickets:
- Tickets are General Admission.
- If the designer is also modelling their garment, this ticket may be gifted to a friend or family member.
Pre-event requirements:
- If selected, it is compulsory for designer and model to attend both the Dress Rehearsal and the Fashion Show.
- All garments MUST be completed and ready for the Dress Rehearsal Saturday 10th August 2024.
- Pre-judging ensures all designs are in the right category and suitable for the show.
- We reserve the right to move your design to a more appropriate category.
- Decisions made by the Judges and the event management team are final.
Event requirements:
- Designers will only be allowed backstage to prepare their model before the show.
- Hair and makeup are pre-planned by the event organisers.
- Music is selected and provided by the event organisers.
- Walk the Line is a drug, alcohol, vape and smoke-free event
