Word from your Coordinator

My name is Tosh and I am the coordinator for Tairāwhiti Gisborne.

I'm born and raised in the Bay of Plenty and consider Ohope Beach/Whakatāne to be home. Since finishing school, I have been fortunate enough to work with young people in a variety of settings around the world.

I have worked as an outdoor instructor in Europe and Asia, studied Physical Education and after living in Palmerston North for five years, I moved to the beautiful Tāirawhiti.

Working with young people is rewarding and something I am super passionate about.
I have really enjoyed getting to know the local community and what is on offer for our youth here.
Growing the Raise Up programme has been fun and I am inspired by the enthusiastic young people we have in the region. It's a great opportunity for young people to come together and bring their ideas and passions to life whilst making friends and gaining new skills

Personally, I am super passionate about health and fitness and I love to spend time outdoors and adore being close to the sea. When I'm not working I'm often out swimming at the beach, walking or doing Les Mills classes at the The Y.
