Raise Up is YMCA's youth development programme run by youth for youth and operates from 11 locations across Auckland and Hamilton. Raise Up has built on the long and successful history YMCA has had working with young people in local communities.

We run events, activities and workshops for young people aged 13-18, see below for our upcoming events

Upper Hutt Update 2017


Upper Hutt has had a busy and eventful year making themselves known for there willingness to be an active part in their communities. They have had much going on over the year from Hackathon, where they were given the opportunity to pitch and present an idea to an event committee, members of the public and members of council. They were one of three selected and got the opportunity to see there idea of a 'house of horrors' come to life with the support of there community. Along with helping when needed and supporting local clean ups and building up the youth in there community. Congrats Upper Hutt on an awesome year!

Why should you join Raise Up?

Raise Up is YMCA's youth development programme run by youth for youth and operates from 11 locations across Auckland. Established in 2002, Raise Up has built on the long and successful history YMCA has had working with youth in local communities.  Raise Up activities include a mixture of regular weekly activities, events, workshops and personal development options. These are tailored to the interests of youth in each region and could include sports, music, dance, fashion, leadership training, art and much more.
