Tāmaki youth urged to have their say Maungakiekie-Tāmaki youth are being urged to have a say in issues affecting their local area by participating in an online survey organised by the Onehunga YMCA Raise Up youth crew.
SAM is an interactive learning experience for
13–18-year-olds that takes a look at very real, and often scary situations
related to alcohol and other drug use – and teaches young people how to
prevent, recognise and respond to such emergencies.
YMCA Auckland’s commitment to building stronger kids,
stronger families and stronger communities is made possible with the generous
support of its funders, and a number of Auckland Local Boards are helping to
make all the difference.
At the end of the April school holidays, more than 140
young people involved in Raise Up, YMCA Auckland’s leadership programme for
young people, descended on the iconic YMCA Camp Adair facility for the 11th
annual Youth Development Camp.
