Raise Up is a youth development programme run by young people, for young people!
Our programmes have been designed to offer youth a safe and positive environment in which to socialize, relax and be themselves.
Through our work with young people, we have seen a need and worked in collaboration to form Raise the Grade. This programme is a peer to peer mentoring group that trains high achieving students to support fellow peers that need help in their studies.
We need mentors. The mentor role is aimed at students in Level 1-3 of NCEA that are achieving good grades in a few subjects at school and would like the opportunity to learn how to mentor others in schooling, learning styles and mental health and wellbeing management. Benefits from being a mentor will be specialised training in Learning styles, leadership and health and wellbeing.
Do you need some help with your studies? If you are behind on work or just have trouble understanding concepts taught in class come to join Raise the Grade where you will be supported to find out your personal learning style and paired with a mentor that can support you in that style and the subjects you need help with. Mentors are also trained to help you understand your own personal wellbeing and how you can manage stress caused by school.Register Here Talk to us
