Youth week is a time to celebrate Aotearoa's young people.
The last couple of years haven't been easy for our rangatahi - ongoing school closures, events being canceled, and not being able to connect with each other in person. We want to finish Youth Week 2022 with a burst of positive energy, giving everyone a chance to make up for what you've missed during COVID.
To celebrate Youth Week in 2022, Raise Up and the YMCA are providing fun, safe spaces for young people to connect, get active, spend time with their mates, grab some kai and win some great prizes.
All participating YMCA centres will have free entry to young people between 3 - 6pm on Friday May 13. On offer will be a range of fun and relaxed chances to do some sport, take part in some mental well-being support, and just hang out and enjoy being in an environment which is designed for, and welcomes young people.
There is also a variety of events leading up to celebrate young people, learn a new skill, hang out with your friends or get active. There is something for everyone!
