What is Walk the Line?

Walk the Line is a young designers fashion show organised by the YMCA Raise Up crew as part of New Zealand Fashion Week.

What do selected designers receive?

A place on the catwalk at NZ Fashion week 2019, the opportunity to win scholarships and prizes, feedback and guidance from fashion industry judges, makeup and hair styling for your model, and definitely not least, exposure to the New Zealand fashion industry.

How do I register?

Designers enter online here

Who is eligible to register?

You must be between the ages of 13 and 18 to enter the competition, and be attending high school. 

How many designs can I enter?

Designers may enter one design only

I have to include my design to enter but it's not made, what do I do?

If your garment isn't finished, you can submit a sketch.

Are models provided?

If you're not modelling your own design, you'll need to organise someone to model it for you. People who love getting their hair and makeup done are a good start! Models must be between the ages of 13 and 18.

How much is registration?

Registration is $40. This covers the dress rehearsal, model makeup and hair consultation, judge's feedback, plus the event day model hair and makeup, lights, cameras - the whole enchilada.
